Tulip silk.

It was disappointing to see that some of our tulips looked worse for wear when we got back from holiday. One pot was completely spent but with a bit of care and the rain these last couple of days the two pots at the from of the house have opened up beautifully.

After a full on day at church: coffee morning; rehearsal for the Queen's birthday celebration tea party in June and then a choir rehearsal for a confirmation service with the Bishop in our church tomorrow evening, there wasn't much time to consider blip, but on returning home I was struck by how lovely these looked on the front steps.

The hard part was which to chose. They are all mixed in the same pot and look very striking. The dark red are especially unusual - extra but loved the flowing shape of these purple ones.
