Early morning ride

Woke with the larks and could not get back off to sleep so decided to take the bike for an excursion. It was good to ride with little traffic around. In fact I met more cyclists than vehicles which is a result.

The light was bright and despite heavy overnight rain the road conditions were good. As I stopped to admire the view across to Castle Howard I noticed this drenched Dandelion seed head.

Called in to see Pat and Nicki on the way home to thank them for the help they have given Matthew in finding a job. Just now have to wait and see if it is something which he wants to turn into a career. Working outdoors with a group of young people should suit him so I hope it works out.
