Evening ride

Left the farm just after 8am with two tired and grumpy kids in tow. Fortunately they fell asleep quite quickly.

Tobes made it back in time for a quick change then off to Loughborough for his rugby tots session, which he really enjoys. Me and Eva stayed at home and I caught up on some admin and tried to entertain Eva too.

Afternoon spent in garden tidying, planting and painting a gate. Henry and Martha popped over to play so that kept our two occupied and we also tackled a small area of the garage. Makes me feel ill going in there! A car boot sale is definitely required.

I went down to the yard just after 5 and had a nice quiet ride round the woods. The cows were on the narrow part of the bridlepath on the way home. Didn't want to get off and didn't want to turn round as time was ticking on. Lime seemed calm so I just squeezed him on and he was so brave and walked round the back of the cow between it and the fence. Not many horses would do that! He's such a star.

Home in time to read stories and put the kids do bed. Just finished doing the walk schedules for the week. Getting to be more and more of a juggling act. Mike went out for a quick bike ride. Just a big pile of ironing to do now then the kitchen to tidy then I'm off to bed, hopefully before midnight!
