Stokesay Castle
A beautiful day spent at Stokesay Castle with Dad and Chris. We visited Ludlow Food Centre first after passing it last week and fancying a look around - great for foodies after special bits and pieces.
When we first arrived, I was a little disappointed as it looked so small but after using the audio guides we learnt so much about the 'castle' and its history, visited the many rooms inside and saw the stunning views from the top of the tower.
The extras show part of a fireplace that has stood the test of time and is in remarkable condition. On the photograph you can still see some of the original colours that were used hundreds of years ago - I couldn't see these with the naked eye. Another shows one of the many views - I found choosing just one very difficult.
I'd definitely recommend a visit to this English Heritage property - but eat before you arrive as the coffee shop is a little disappointing.
