The Copper Country -3

The setting of this photo is at the beaver pond.  It
is a close-up of one of the channels the beaver
had made.....I wonder how?  They used these water
channels to tug their larger branches back to
their home.  There they would swim underwater
with them, enter their den and anchor this winter
food source in the mud.  If they had "shipping"
channels, the branches would not snag on the
way out to the central pond. Note the extra photo
to find this waterway in its larger context.
