Peace and quiet...

This is all we need from time to time, a bit of peace and quiet...
Especially when you are in a customer facing role and you have to look cheerful and friendly all the time.

When I came home after work, I had a nap and then something to eat before I headed out to take some photos. the light was not great, but the fresh air made me feel good. I really liked how this boat stayed so quiet, on its own, in the middle of the water... so calm and peaceful...

The plan was to go back home after taking the photos; however, as I was just about to walk up my street, I bumped into a friend who was celebrating a birthday with some other people. She asked me if I wanted to join them for a drink. I was very tired and not in the mood for socialising to be honest, but I accepted the offer. I went for just the one drink though and then I finally headed home. You'll see a picture of the girls that were playing in the pub today in the extras.
