Woodpecker

It was a wonderful day to visit Calke Abbey, near Derby.  It's a magnificent National Trust property which you must put on your list. The house is a chaotic and fascinating monument to clutter. Think you never throw things away ? You're not in this league.....

Very few butterflies in the immaculate and impressive gardens. Just a beautiful white which settled briefly on a blue plant (extra)

But for the blip - the bird hide and this feeding woodpecker had to win the day.
