Polish Folk Dancers.

Today was Chesterton Festival and I went with friends to watch the events in the arena. I loved the Polish Folk dancing which is a tradition rooted in many centuries of Polish culture. Many dances stem from historical events but also include ballet and ballroom elements. After the demonstration they asked for volunteers to join them and learn a dance. I didn't join in but many youngsters did. There was a very good female jazz band called the Ladybirds. A very enjoyable afternoon out even though I didn't win the photographic competition this year (Last year I got 1st and 2nd) but my pictures were on display, better luck next year ! To finish off we had a nice pub meal and glass of wine.
