Sad

A day spent mostly trying to work while being distracted by trying to keep up with events at the Centre of the Universe (the Imperial Capital).

Sad, because it's all so predictable. Right down to the utter inability to deal with the mess they created. "They" means all the Tory, Labour and Liberal Democrat self servers.

Saddest was all the usual "what will we do" panic, but no-one even thinking to ask what the rest of the EU expects London to do, nor the slightest interest in the impact on the other 27 Member States. No surprise. Just sad.

After dinner I decided a few minutes by the sea would help. It did. It was very quiet. everyone was at home (or in the pub) cheering for Iceland against England. It seems Icelandair was running a competition via Twitter which gives the winner a weekend in Iceland with one of their stewardesses thrown in.

Maybe I misunderstood some of the small print, of course.

It's a sad reflection of those "running" the sport in Scotland how well a nation of 350,000 people can do.
