Shutters
About this time last year Tricia painted some of the shutters. Things ground to a halt halfway through the process with mutterings of "Not enough paint".
The tin was reexamined yesterday before the visit to the DIY shop and in fact there was declared to be enough to finish the job. Here you can see the fruits of her labours.
I continue with my three hours of fairly hard labour in the ruin from 7 am and it looks a little tidier. It has become a bit like an archaeological dig with a hitherto unknown wall and floor exposed. I still dread to think how much more stuff there is to move. I have become a dab hand at moving huge boulders with a combination of crowbars and violence.
The early start also meant I could go to St Melany market at 11 am with an easy conscience - sadly the chocolate croissants were sold out. It was meant to be a diet day anyway.
