It's all too much
Since I took Albi to the vet this morning I have mainly done nothing but sneeze. Nothing obvious there but I am so ridiculously allergic to most fluffy things (though joyously not dogs in any real way) it could have been anything. My nose is still driving me to distraction and as I suspect I have sneezed more than half my brain out I may very well be properly loopy.
That aside some good stuff has happened today. Albi and I had a mega lunch time walk which seems to have worn her out for the rest of the day. Fortunately we picked the part of the day that was bathed in glorious sunshine. And I even did some of my training homework with reasonable success.
After school I took Anna for a try out at a gymnastics club. They have a long waiting list but at least we are now on it with some hope of channelling her desire to live life almost permanently upside down.
Whilst we were off doing that Peri was here to hang out with Jackson and Albi. The latter didn't require too much (see above) so it was fortunate the former was up to some company and I understand a quite brutal game of Rummikub was played.
Another positive sign from J has been the increased efforts put to winding his sister up. This was largely triggered by Carlos FaceTiming this evening who apparently had called to say goodnight to his loving family, not the bickering one. That'll teach him to misdial.
I have to stay awake to do J's late tablet and then I am going to defeat the stupid allergy symptoms with Night Nurse.
I shall continue to obsess over the state of our nation...no Government, no opposition, no football manager*. My main concern is that this necessary political shake-up doesn't disappear to far up its own backside and leave this vacuum of uncertainty for the extremists to occupy.
So yes please reorganise, pay attention to what hasn't been working and come back to us invigorated and with a plan but please do it soon. At the moment people looking to "take back control" are not going to be good for any of us.
