Alpine morning

This is the view from my little bedroom in Verbier. Mist and pretty light as the day dawns. The modern church where last night's concert with Lawrence Power, Joshua Bell and Steven Isserlis charmed us all.

My last morning after yet another wonderful visit to the Music Festival. Divine music, experiences and scenery. But I'll be back next year, I hope.

Wonderful bread for breakfast and the fellow guests (many of them musicians) may hum a classical theme as the charming Frenchman at the next table is doing.

So. It is time to retrace my steps. The Post bus. The rack railway. The efficient Swiss train to Geneva airport.
