Rehearsal

The sun is shining again and Verbier is stunningly, sparklingly beautiful again.

But I haven't posted a photo of the music yet so here I am sharing one of the highlights so far for me.

In the big tent, Salle des Combins, they have a number of open rehearsals. This morning it was the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, a hand-picked group of top musicians who audition fiercely to be involved. They are young and terrific.

Tonight's concert will be Bach.
The concerto for two violins and strings and the concerto for violin BWV 1042.
Plus two Mozart symphonies. 40 and 41.

The two violinists are Janine Jansen and Leonidas Kavakos who will also conduct.

It was such a privilege to be there (along with probably 200 other enthusiasts).

I'm on the door for a masterclass this afternoon.

How can anyone bear so much excitement!
