Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Disappearing Pier

Here on California's Central Coast summer often resembles the winter that we have in the inland areas. Once or twice today the sun almost appeared, but did not quite break through. Then later this evening the fog rolled in and summer was absolutely gone and it looked as though the pier was gone too.

This has been a pleasant day as we wandered through the beach community of Cayucos just doing some lookey-louing or as one friend prefers to call it "doo-dah-ing." This is a quaint place. It is nick-named the "Cowboy Surf Town" and we think that is because many people from the inland regions of Fresno and Bakersfield vacation here.

We think this place resembles Huntington Beach or Newport Beach back in the 1950s. Whatever the appropriate definition, we know that we like this place a lot.

Good night from the Central Coast of California.

P.S. This is blip #1300 for me and I have three back blips to complete soon -- one from June and two from July. This is almost halfway between year three and four. I have never regretted starting or continuing this blip habit. Not only do I enjoy capturing every day with a photo and hopefully a quality message, but I have found all the other blippers to be a group of fabulously wonderful people and most I'll never meet.
