Lazy day

Dad's birthday, so once I'd quickly got some work out of the way in the morning, it was on to the main event: eating and drinking, with emphasis on cake! The kids all dressed up smart and iced many cakes and Aunty June arrived for the day. And as always on Dad's birthday, the sun came out (though it's pouring this evening).

So a lazy afternoon, a day where the height of my achievement has been reading some old knitting pattern books and catching up on back issues of Gardeners World. Bliss.
