Party time

The drinks were flowing at today's 80th birthday party, bubbly, red and white wine and beer a-plenty. A hog roast and plenty of lovely accompaniments too. The birthday boy was our friend David from South Africa and his daughter who now lives in England invited all his long lost cousins and friends to join him to celebrate. This family always does birthdays in style with lots of speeches and even a poem.
I had to drag Normous away. He was the duty drinker so I was the one who drove home across Kent and Surrey. I chose to take A roads and leave the M25 to the holiday hordes.
