Bramble flowers
For some reason all the bramble flowers I am seeing this year are a wonderful shade of pale (sometimes dark) pink, and not the usual white! I wonder if this is something to do with the environment, or just I have somehow missed the white flowers. Whichever, the pink flowers are certainly very pretty.
I have added a shot of the main East window of St Mary Magdalene, Rusper, created in 1956 to commemorate the centenary of the rebuilding. Although described as pale and anemic looking I think it is rather striking with so many wild animals and birds represented.
