The gentle plop...

..of rain upon an Egremont Russett.

We 'inherited' this tree, in the garden of our newly acquired house. I am watching it grow fruit and hoping nothing stops lovely apples. The weather (warm rain!) seems to be on my side.Fingers are crossed.

It's been a slow day in other ways.. Shopping.. Birthday card buying.. Household chores (avoiding!)...

Tomorrow is a day of planned family- ness and enjoyment.

I hope for fewer plops of rain than today.
