Bike ride from Nethy Bridge to Spey Bridge

First thing I had a wee run along the spey way in the morning mist - it was very calm and quiet. I came across a field full of peewits in the mist - identified by their distinctive 'peewit' call.
We then took the boys out for a bike ride along the Spey way to Spey Bridge for a picnic. The weather was lovely - sunny and a breeze to keep the midges away. It was a 20km bike ride and they both did really well. They were as daft as ever and spent the last few miles of the ride having pretend crashes into the grasses at the side of the track. This picture is how we found them when having rushed off ahead while we put their jumpers in rucksacks we caught up and they announced "we need a snack now" and refused to move on. It made me laugh.
