Tunstall Walk

We had a very enjoyable morning having a pottery session with Jane, our cottage owner. I made a small jug to add to my collection and my husband made a (rather large) teabag dish. What they will look like when they have been glazed and fired we can't imagine, but it was certainly fun to do:-)

Following a recommendation by Jane, we did a circular walk round Tunstall Reservoir in the afternoon. One side was fine, as you could see the water, but most of it was through dense woodland and you could hardly see anything except the roots and rocks beneath your feet! Not our idea of a "pretty walk".

The wind was very strong, as you can see from the photo and the fishermen had quite a job to keep their boat steady.

Packing up tonight for a 10 am departure tomorrow and we'll be sorry to leave this lovely (if very windy) part of the north east.
