Stained Glass
We made our way across Nova Scotia from Halifax to Digby to catch the ferry that would take us to Saint John, New Brunswick for our last night in Canada. Along the way we stopped at Grande Pre, an historic site where the Catholic French settlers were driven out by the English in the 1700's. The area has a church with the stained glass windows depicting the story of the removal. The poem Evangeline by Longfellow was about a young girl from this settlement.
This window was above the front entrance. The extra has a photo of the church.
