A Day Of Culture

SWMBO was not feeling well so it was just me that went to Pittenweem to see our jeweller and some of the Arts Festival.
Before I went to see James I had a walk round the harbour for some close-ups. I would have loved to bring home the links but that would have meant carrying them about all day and they were quite big.

Since it was the last day of the festival - and remarkably quiet, James was able to leave Caroline in charge and we went for an hours daunder round some of the exhibits.
One of his friends is a metal sculptor. I wasn't terribly enamoured with his stuff but I liked the detail on the leaves on his 'Tree Of Life'. However I loved the work of a woman (whose name escapes me until I can find the pamphlet) who used sheet music to create a magnificent piece of a winged character. She also did another piece in metal that was absolutely stunning - but I couldn't get a picture of that that did it any justice.

After I got James back I dragged Caroline out for a bit (she was feeling a bit down and reclusive) but came back with a smile on her face and admitted that she had needed to be taken out.
She then presented me with lunch........ a whole lobster, followed by oatcakes and cheese.
The lady is a gem!

When I went to go for a walk by myself for a while I found that the battery in my big camera had died so I had to resort to using my infrared one for everything. It was fine for the garden sculpture but not quite so good for the deer. The jury is still out on the feather next to the big rocks which had some lovely texture.

By the time it came to get some seascape shots my back was scream 'Enough' so I headed back to say goodbye to James and Caroline and collect my purchases (they will be kept for emergency blips) before heading for home.
