The Olympics - Foresting

Backblipping...

Our first task of the day was to move our camp to Hoh National Park now that some vacancies had arisen. This is in the middle of the Olympic rainforest and we hiked about 3 miles up the glen through probably my favourite forest ever. It was gorgeous, sunlight creeping through at all angles, what could be better.

Returning back by about 3pm we headed off west to the pacific coast and apparently the best beach around. Except we left the forest at 85C to the coast about 55C, OMG. The sea haar was in. But we made the most of it and I invented a game walking along the logs called 'touching wood'. The only rule being, you had to always touch wood, with your feet.

It did look a lovely beach, with trees washed up on the shore, it didn't stop them paddling. The usual extras are attached of waterfalls, Ms H and a cool beach with Mrs C.
