2016 Saturday -- Hydrangea
When this summer concludes and we pack our things, load the car, and drive away to SoCal, the three new hydrangea plants will be on the list of "Things Accomplished." I ordered these online and requested plants that produced purple flowers.
When we lifted each plant from its cardboard box, this plant had two flowers with white blossoms. In the next few days the flowers quickly transformed to a magenta, purple-ish tone. These are in the front garden near the stairs that lead to the front door. I really like them.
Late this afternoon we drove northeast to Paseo Robles to get a bag of dog food at Walmart and to return a blanket that was snagged (when I purchased it) to Kohl's. We were delighted when we rediscovered that Kohl's, Walmart, and JC Penney are all in the same area. We rarely get to Paseo Robles. It was 97 degrees in Paseo and 61 in Cayucos . . . a real shock to our system.
It would have been a nice journey, if Mr. Fun had not been "hunting." I was excited to get to go to the "big city" to do a little "shopping." I realized quickly that we were hunting. So I just tried to appease the "hunter." Crazy!!!
