2016 Sunday -- The Cass House
The little town of Cayucos is in the heart of California's Central Coast. Captain Cass's House is in the heart of Cayucos. He is the founder of this town. He built his house in 1875; it's beautiful and a large part of Cayucos history.
When he built his Victorian house, Captain James Cass used quality materials, the frame is a premium grade of redwood; otherwise, the house would have crumbled and collapsed years ago.
A year or two ago it was purchased and now has re-opened in June after a complete renovation and the addition of a bakery, a grill/restaurant, and bar.
Back in December of 2013, when it was basically an exquisite inn and restaurant, before the newest owners had purchased it (and did a major upgrade), we went to a lovely six course dinner there for Mr. Fun's birthday.
It's a wonderful place of history and now a real beauty.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
