Pyrford Lock
I was up early to take Luke to the station for work - his working week is proving tiring for me! Then I waited patiently until 8.30am when Thomas would be able to log in to get his GCSE results. The pupils doing Latin and Greek write Latin a year early so they can concentrate on Greek next year. He did not disappoint us and got a stunning result.
Then it was back to Mr IT man to hand over the replacement laptop so he could copy across all the saved data and upgrade it to the new Windows 10 - not the Windows 10 that came out at the end of last year, there is a new version that came out last month that has none of the problems of the previous version. Mr IT man is quite an unorthodox character - he works from home and seems to have an incredible knowledge of all things IT. There were 2 other clients there and he was helping someone over the phone too - they all said how brilliant he was. Apparently the other day he was telling a Microsoft engineer how to fix a problem! He is a good find.
To get to his house I had to go through Pyrford and cross over the lock, so I pulled over on the side of the road and quickly took some photos of the canal boats which looked lovely in that cool shade.
