Alexander and Alexander!

Couldn't chose today so you have a compilation of the lovely Alexander rose now blooming (replacement for the one that died last year) and its namesake my son Alex who is 35 today!
Yes 35!

We walked up to his house at the top of the village this morning where I took this shot, he is a reluctant subject. It was sunny and warm but it has clouded up now, though I got my washing out and dry and we are settled at home this afternoon to watch the Rugby League Challenge cup final.

Later we will be eating out to celebrate with the birthday boy, a nice change as he has spent many birthdays on the road returning to his regiment in his recent army days.
