Glory

A morning on the allotment in the sun, gentle weeding and time spent admiring all the varieties of Courgette growing!
Home to this Glory Lily - I plant the tubers each year and hope the long stalks with the leaves that end in tendrils and wrap themselves round anything available, will develop flowers. This year they did and I have watched them grow, turn from green to red green to this vibrant yellow and red, the petals gradually turning ing upwards or "reflexing" to use the correct language!  It's also known as  flame lily, fire lily, gloriosa lily, superb lily. I love it!
