Holy island causeway - and seal

We cycled over the causeway to Holy Island this morning but didn't have much time as we knew we'd have to battle a headwind on the way back. We had to get over before the tide cut off the causeway. I didn't fancy the ignominy of perching a few hours in the rescue loft (pictured) till the tide receded.

On previous ocassions we have visited the castle and priory and a few years ago we completed St Cuthbert's Way from Melrose to Holy Island.

My cousin and his wife arrived this afternoon so we had a walk with them and we'll all eat together tonight. The weather has been a lovely 22.
