Nothing but blue sky

So sad to leave Northumberland when the sun was shining! We went via Hartside Top, over the Pennines ( I think). Bikers were gathered in dozens outside the famous greasy spoon cafe at the top, the cafe with the best view in the world...

I didn't get a good shot. I hope CleanSteve did! We drove down the Motorway from Penrith, only getting stuck now and again. It wasn't all bad.
Arrived home in brilliant evening light.

Sadly the internet, which we had been looking forward to reacquainting ourselves with, had left the building. Apparently a huge thunderstorm, with lightning directly overhead, had taken the router out. I rang Sky, and after a lengthy discussion, they agreed to replace it, though technically they didn't have to! Now we have to wait until it arrives. We have got kind of used to living without it, having stayed in so many different places.
