Ambling by the River Hamble

Today is our middle sons birthday, hope you have a great day love :-) xx

After a good drive down last night we arrived around 10.15. We had a catch up for an hour or so, a cuppa to unwind before all turning in around midnight.

It was still a very warm 19 degrees....we left all the windows open, but could hear all the comings and goings, of which there were plenty !!:-/. At 1.30 we were still awake....hub said he was "starving" as we'd only had an omelette at 5.30 for a quick tea. Luckily we had a packet of crisps handy, that we hadn't eaten on our journey, so yes, there we were at 1.30, in bed, sharing a packet of crisps ;-)
We were woken up by the "glass" bin men around 7.45.....so not the best nights sleep :-/

Nonetheless, after showers we were revived and sat down the bottom of sis and BiLs garden chatting some more. We decided to go out for lunch so off we went to Bursledon, the Jolly Sailor, beside the river. We sat outside and spent a lovely couple of hours, with lunch and a couple of drinks :-)

This is one of the first shots I took on the walk down to the pub......which is in a lovely situation, as you can see :-)

It's been a lovely pleasantly warm day, not so humid, which has been great. We had a glass of fizz on the patio as the sun was going down, followed by a light salad. Hopefully
Followed by a better nights sleep tonight :-)
