Here comes the Judge
This is Judge S. He is a circuit judge and spends much of his time at Aylesbury Crown Court.
Today he showed us around both courtrooms located in Aylesbury town centre as part of the UK's Heritage Day. He gave us lots of history and anecdotes as well as giving info on what the current most tried cases are .
There were about 30 of us & you had to book in advance. I had booked about 6 weeks ago.- its an interesting place built in 1740 but set fire to in 1970 by a young arsonist who I met 2 years ago at another Heritage day.

He was sent to Broadmoor apparently for 2 years before serving further time in another closed prison...
In 1845 a notorious murderer was sentenced to be hanged here and 10000 people turned out to see the execution. He was the first man to be captured & convicted using the new invention of telecommunication.
C has still to finish the Sweet Tree and of course we are on the lash tonight. At the mo we have a little man with us disrupting the household in a good way of course.
Heavy rain
The extras are Court 1 & Court 2.
Ps the Great Train Robbers were sentenced here as was Keith Richards for possession of LSD.
