Perseverance

This little seedling could be a symbol for the Paralympic games, somehow managing to push through the concrete and sand and flourish in a broken off pipe end.

The city is beginning to fill up with visitors and paralympic athletes and excitement is in the air.  I think the cariocas are ready and in the mood.
