Game of Thrones Tour day!
*backblip^
Steve had booked for us to be on the Game of Thrones tour on the Monday - there was a bit of a weather warning - i.e. a bit of rain but the morning was dry which suited our schedule.
The walk was awesome - they took us through a lot of the different places in which the TV show is filmed and explained how some aspects were CGI'd (that seems to be a word now!) as well as about the extras and actually more importantly all about the history of Dubrovnik that essentially went into the construction of the old town in the way we still find it today.
It is a very pretty city and it was a great walk. At the end of it we finish at one point of the city walls with a great view of the main street which features in this image.
I could have shared stunning coastlines, more/ other buildings but I really enjoyed the walk around the city walls and the views of people going about their tourism or their daily lives so this is the shot of today. after the tour as we came down from the walls the rain started so we nipped into one of the square areas by the waterside and grabbed a quick lunch before slowly heading back to the hotel. The remainder of the evening there were thunderstorms and the rain was pretty heavy which resulted in us sticking with the hotel restaurant.
The hotel in general was nice and it should have been with the 5 star rating but the restaurants on site were certainly not to the same standard which was a shame.
