Circque de Gavarnie

A UNESCO World Heritage site.  Europe's tallest waterfall cascades 1,470 ft down the mountainside and completely freezes every winter!  As it was so hot and there was little shade for the 1 hour walk (probably 2 hrs for me), we didn't attempt to reach the foot of the falls this time, but nevertheless enjoyed  the fantastic scenery.  (More in extras)
