Day Two...Lock 17

This is Lock 17 on the Erie Canal, the highest lock on the canal. In years past, we have got to watch boats go through it, but today...no such luck.

To give you an idea of scale...on the yellow walkway...below the Lock 17 sign...my Dad is standing there.

We spent the night in a Hannaford grocery store...getting a little cold. My Dad had to reconfigure his blanket situation. Other than that, we slept great.
