Rock Ferry
Awoke to a superbly sunny morning. We didn't rush around because we didn't have to and after a leisurely breakfast on the balcony we drove into Padstow. Very difficult to park as every one else had gone to Padstow also. We managed to park just to the rear of Rick Stein's Fish & Chip Outlet Shop. Lots of people were queuing just because RS has his name on the door. We walked around the Harbour & a few shops. First Pasty of the week which was very good - mine was traditional & C's was a Thai Chicken which she raved over (just because I didn't have one !) We went by Rick Stein's Cafe but went in Rick Stein's gift shop didn't buy anything as it is a little pricey. Do you know you can but a box of matches, you know like the Cook's Matches, for £9.50 yep £9.50 for a box of matches. Now I am not tight but anyone buying Rick Stein matches has got more money than sense. Incidentally did you know that Padstow is known locally as Padstein...
After walking around for about 3 hours my poor old feet were just about done & so we walked back to the car just as the ticket expired. Fancied going and sitting somewhere for an hour where there was a view & so we headed for Trevose Head. We have been before - it was a great view all around & today didn't disappoint .
Back to the pad early for a snooze, a glass of wine & some food. speak later.

The extra is taken at Dinas Head (Trevose). It was almost certainly the site of a Promontory Fort in the Iron Age
