September's Colours

Very wet day here in Campbeltown.
After our Sunday grocery shop we headed south towards Southend hoping to find that the weather would improve.
Sadly no and our anticipated walk along Carskey beach had to be abandoned :-(
The afternoon I spent working on a new painting and later in the afternoon we headed out to the Doirlinn car park in the hope of getting a walk.
It was looking very promising when we left the car at first but this dry spell didn't last long as we noticed a squall heading our way.
We beat a hasty retreat to the car to wait till the rain shower passed.
Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long and leaving Maeve behind in the car we managed to get a walk .
My image shows Davaar Island and in the distance Arran is just visible.
I do like the russet and purple hues we are seeing in the Campbeltown landscape at this time of year :-)
