Culbokie Scarecrows
After dropping David at the college we went to Loch Kinellan for a walk. It was lovely and sunny and the flowers were a buzz with bees and other insects.
Lots of ducks on the water including mallard, tufted ducks, grebes and the family of swans. Robins were singing at the top of trees and bushes. A dunnock was sunning himself among the lichen covered branches, swallows hugged the surface of the water and the sound of the dragonflies wings filled our ears.
After a stop at Tesco and a walk along the river where I watched grey wagtails feeding on the muddy banks left dry by the out going tide. I spotted a flash of blue dart past and was thrilled with a brief glimpse of a Kingfisher.
The blip shows one of the scarecrows in Culbokie. This one was my favourite and shows a fisherman which ties in well with the Ocean Challenge badge that we are working towards with the Brownies.
