A waving Shield bug

A beautiful day with bright blue skies, sunshine from start to finish and warmth. It felt like a Summers day so I did nt do a lot and just spent all day in the garden until it was time for Brownies.
This little red legged shield bug flew down and landed in front of me and then started to climb up a very skinny twig.
Butterflies and bees were busy in the garden and the field .
We had fun at Brownies with a Planet and Alien evening.Disappointed with some Alien balloons that I had bought as they popped so easily , think I'll send a complaint to the manufacturers .They made some great Aliens out of plasticine and worked in groups to discover a 'new' Planet :)
Sat in the garden when I got home to see/ hear if any bats were around, they were so hoping we'll see/hear some next week on our bat walk :)
