All peachy

The roses might be all peachy, but I'm not. I'm cross.

We returned in the morning from Cumbria especially for my GP appointment for the steroid injection in my foot. Just as I was getting ready to leave the house he phoned to say I'd been misinformed, and nobody in the surgery did this injection now, so I wouldn't be getting the injection. I'd waited 3 weeks to see him, so went for the appointment to discuss the options. There is a clinic available in a nearby town so I'm being referred there and should be seen in a month to be assessed again, then if they think it will help I'll get another appointment to actually have it done. If they don't think it the best option they will refer me to the orthopaedic department at a bigger hospital. The waiting list for this is months.

Am I alone in thinking all this is bonkers? How can it be saving the NHS money?
