" BALI HI "

Anyone who watched South Pacific all those years ago, might recognise the above.  It is in fact Es Vedra in Cala dHort, Ibiza and one of our favourite locations.  For those of you who follow my journal, we left on the 5 September and returned on the 19th.  Over the next few days I will be sharing a few of the sights.

We always eat at the Restaurant Carmen at Cala dHort which is normally a peaceful place.  Unfortunately due to Trip Advisor this is not now the case.  In fact most of the little secret places we have loved about Ibiza have now been spoilt by other tourists!  Even our beloved hotel in Es Cana has changed and I don't think we will be returning.  Not through any fault of the staff which are always wonderful but some English people spoil it for the rest of us.

For information, Mike Oldfield lived in a villa overlooking Es Vedra for sometime and was inspired to write Tubular Bells 3.  He found it a very hypnotic place and eventually returned to England.

Having had no internet connection throughout our holiday I have not been able to follow your journals.  But I am now back.
