Man's inhumanity to man.

A generally grey and windy day but a flight of shags passed just as the sky brightened for a few minutes.

How fortunate we are to live in such a peaceful place. The news this morning from the Syrian city of Aleppo was utterly appalling; streets on fire after heavy bombing with phosphorus, 2 million, yes 2 million, people without water, tiny babies being dug out of the ruined city. What on earth goes on in the minds of the people who order, plan and carry out such inhuman acts? 

The "extra", taken in happier times, 6 years ago this month, is the entrance to the bath house in the ancient Aleppo citadel.
