The north end of the Churchyard....

In some English Parish Churches,  unbaptised babies, along with some mothers who died in childbirth, unknown souls, criminals and people who died by suicide, were buried at the north end of the churchyard rather that in unconsecrated ground.   I'm not aware of this having happened in Scotland, though I could be wrong.


Extra:   Went on to preach at Melrose Parish Church, where Wilma - a retired guide dog - was a congregant!
