Midnight madness

This wasn't my original blip, but Blip had a blip earlier and I couldn't post anything.

We were settling down for the night when we heard voices outside. It's a quiet cul de sac where we live, so this was out of the ordinary.
Further investigation led to us witnessing 2 guys who could barely stand, they were so drunk, attempting to park their car. You can see it in the photo; it's actually just abandoned on our neighbour's garden!
As they staggered off, Mr A decided to follow the driver, whilst simultaneously on the phone to the police.

The police said they had no patrols in the area, so asked Mr A to try and follow the guy whilst giving details of his whereabouts.
Despite best efforts (Mr A even had a conversation with the guy who said he couldn't remember where he'd left his car), the guy disappeared into a side street and obviously his house.

The police didn't show up until Mr A was back on our road and didn't say much at all.
We googled the reg and surprise, surprise, the car isn't taxed!

So we are left with an abandoned car on our road and a driver who has no idea where his car is. Great!
