Half a sunrise

Cloud this morning which gave rise to an interesting effect as the sun came up, with other clouds being brushed with colour.

Last full day of he holiday so took advantage of the sunshine when it eventually burned away the cloud.

The evening light was lovely too - see extra - as the moon appeared and jet-streams were tainted with colour.

As we sat on the balcony at 20:30 local time eating dinner by candlelight in 22oC heat the prospect of returning to Newcastle during the day 10oC lower will be a shock to the system!
