Up the Apples and Pears?

Or, more accurately ... Up the apple & down the pear. Since I watched it stagger up the apple, a couple of inches up the thread, then back down onto the pear.
Having thoroughly marmelised the 1/4 apple I thought I'd try a bit of my pear.
Since I'm adding this virtually a week later I can safely report that the wasp(s) thought about as much of an under-ripe conference pear as I did - they've barely touched it and there are still plenty zooming in & out.
