Life with The Pinks

Rockpools and tantrums

Today started with a tantrum. A three hour one. It was a Master Pink tantrum, a noisy one, that the whole campsite heard.

After the tantrum had subsided and we'd had some lunch (the two weren't linked), we walked down to South Sands which is one of Salcombe's beaches. We enjoyed spying the thatched cottages with owls thatched on to the roof, the huge leaves on the big plants, and the mummy duck and her two babies on the pond by the farm. The beach was nice, rocks to climb for Master Pink, very cold waves to splash in,a nd warm rock pools for Miss pink to explore and find crabs in.

The walk home was harder. All up a very steep hill, very hot, and on a single track road. But we made it. And we all felt very proud of ourselves. And then we collapsed outside the tent and watched the swallows darting about.
