The rest of forever...

Sunny Side Up

An early rise and breakfast ready for our long morning walk. We planned a ten mile walk and set off through the local streets and out into the green fields of the Kathmandu Valley. It was warm with a gentle breeze at moments which cooled us from the early morning heat. We walked down tracks and paths, alongside fields, and saw a few local villages that I haven't been to before. Along the way these goats had decided that it was safer on higher ground! And this little fella was taking a morning snooze...looks comfy!

We had been invited to the home of some people we had lunch with yesterday so we set about with the difficult task of finding their house...not easy when there are no accurate village or street names, let alone house names! But eventually, after much walking about, we found them and enjoyed coffee and pancakes. The view from their terrace is stunning...check it out here...I'm sure you will agree! Afterwards we headed off down the valley and home...hot and tired but having had a good start to our day!

Lunch followed, some work and then the weekly food shop. A little more work and we headed off to the gym and then home for a late dinner. I Facetimed my parents and Paul Skyped his, and then to bed. We got up at 1.45am to watch some of the closing ceremony...Paul watched about half an hour and I managed an hour until the eyes started closing! I'm just sat here trying to see it on YouTube - it looks as though it was amazing. I'm hoping my Mum has recorded it so that I can see it when I get home to England!!

I forgot to mention. I saw my little lady a four times today and on one occasion when I gave her a biscuit she let me stroke her head. I just gently stroked above her eyes and she really seems surprised by how much she liked it....you know when dogs move their heads forwards and close their eyes because it feels so nice. Honestly, it was so lovely. I think I'll miss her...not quite as much as I miss Pippa and Lottie!
