Wait for me!!

Okay Roo was only pretending to be Usain Bolt and I know he had you all fooled, but when out walking his little legs certainly have to go very quick to keep up with me. Especially with steps and bridges.

A few years ago I would take him along with Kanga and my friends chihuahuas Tiger Lily(Ginger Spice from the other day!) and his arch rival Theo into a big open field and would make them stay and then one at a time let them lose Roo would go first, closely followed by Theo, then we would leave a gap and release Kanga and Tiger Lil at the same time.

Tiger Lil was like a racehorse she would out race them all so far in front, then along would come Kanga usually carrying anything she found on the way, then it would be Theo always looking like he had a big grin on his face and in last place it would be Roo, I always compared him to the horse Crisp in the grand national leading up until the last furlong and along came Red Rum, to snatch away glory.

Oh what fun they use to give us and they enjoyed it too! Unfortunately, poor Theo has health problems now and so we don't play this anymore.

But Chihuahua racing is big business in some parts of America. Don't think Roo would make it!
